ok long story short folks, im doing a motor refresh as iv lost a main seal on the righthand side and it stopped running.. but electrics fill me with fear and while starting to get the bike ready for its strip i noticed ,the wires coming outa the fuse box into the large white block are all ok but the matching block from the loom has this spare blue wire hanging beside it? 81 LC250 by the way... so i have 8 coming from the fuse box and 7 from the loom plus this spare blue. tho i have no blue wire coming from the fuse box?
could anybody have a wee look please and confirm they have a blue coming of the loom into that large block connector.. just incase i have some random spare wire hanging about.
cheers

If I connect it into the block it would then match up onthe fuse box side of the block with a red?

but no idea what is going on with your bike, I'll look at my own connector next time I am in the garage for you.

Firstly the bike should not have that connector as standard so the fuse box has been replaced
Don't think the replacement boxes had a blue in them so the blue will connect to a red at the connector
I'd say the connector with no wire is the give away 😉

Steve is totally correct, I'd not spotted the obvious that there shouldnt be a connector off the fuse box.
On an OEM loom the fuse box cant be disconnected from the loom, its part of it.
This is an aftermarket unit thats been fitted.
Maybe fit one of Rob's fancy new fuse boxes instead?

Right enough when i went back and looked at it the fuse box looks pretty new, at least a lot newer than the rest of the loom which is in pretty good nick.
