I don't have much left on my bucket list these days, as I've done most of the things I wanted to do. This summer, if you can call it that was to go out for a ride on my PV and not get rained on.

I did ride from Orlando to LA with a mate many, many years ago. Not sure if I'd want to do another epic road trip again but I guess it depends on who you ride with and not necessarily where you are heading. The Manx is a must and that's next August (yes on the LC if she ever gets finished). And oddly enough I have a very strong urge to return to my old haunt. Box Hill. Not really a bucket list thing as I've been there so many times but one day I'll return. I hope the memories do too, but I know it's changed quite a bit. No 'deceptive bends' for one thing.

We used to do a European tour on the bikes in my 30βs group of 30 of us first stage was always hook of Holland to Ravensburg in Germany 500 miles in one day (it was a killer ride)Then tour the area. I got away from it, but the older I get the more I want to start doing it again. Mates dad recently returned from a 2500 mile tour on his Africa Twin he is in his 70βs. Never too old. I enjoy my cars but bikes are so much more visceral π

I tour Europe regularly, twice this year so far and away agin in a weeks time for 2 weeks, if its me and my mates we're on the bikes, if I'm with the wife I'm in the van with the bike in the back, the wife has just had a new knee and isn't up to 350 plus mile days at the minute but having the van is also beneficial for collecting bikes or parts while we are away. I've been to N. Africa and S. America, Canada, various states of the U.S.A. Love being away on a bike, I need to retire

I quite fancy doing Route 66 on a bike, perhaps when I retire but NOT on a Harley π R66 is great, but... its not always easy to find the actual old 66 if you wanted to be a stickler for doing the correct (debatable) route as some areas the roads have been changed. To get the most you defo need to do quite a bit of research but it is worth it. That was the first USA roadtrip i did and i would recommend it as there was quite a bit to see and you get the changing environment as you travel, from Chicago and the lush green states through deserts to the coast. We also did side bar trips along the way with Santa Fe and Tucson, all in all we took a month and it was 10,000kms. A superb trip.

Oh no, no Charley booring and Ewan mcscott so does that mean no fixers behind the scene? No tow trucks? No corporate sponsorship? No middle aged men buying into the dream with Β£15k bikes and full t**t suits?

Im sure its a bit bigger a production than say Mondo Enduro, but its defo no Wrong Way Bound.
I watched the Louisiana one as its one of my fave USA states and while it wasnt my perfect show, it did at least show the area off a bit... tho cos its TV they did do some weird things lol
We dont get too many travel biking shows on mainstream TV, usually we have to resort to Youtube so it was nice to see it really. I'd have preferred a youtube show for me as it would have been lower budget and more 'real', but this was pretty watchable and something a bit different.
