Anyone got any advice? I am hoping to actually get my LC on the road next week. It's had a resleeve, new crank, pistons, bearings, and seals so everything is basically new.

Use the search function on here. There is plenty of information about the subject.

Follow the manual.
Unless your racing it.

You would have thought so, but doing a search for those two really common words results in pretty much every thread ever written appearing in the search results. I wondered if anyone had any advice over what the manual says. Never mind.

There are lots of ways to run an engine in but the safe bet is too follow the manual.

I was told do some heat cycles first then let cool retorque head Gentle 5 miles check 50 miles steady then thrash lol 😆
I have done the heat cycles and the 5 road miles but I am doing 300 miles

I find the search really useful, but it does take some getting used to as its very powerful and allows a decent long tail search. have you used the part that says 'all the words' rather than them on their own?

Slow and careful and don't thrash it. I ran my bike in carefully and all seemed fine for quite a few miles but I seized it just slightly going up a hill when the weather turned colder a few years back and it had done plenty of miles.
When I eventually took it apart there was a small mark on the piston and the barrel cleaned up nicely after honing it. Never had any trouble after that.

I tried them all. It either returned no results or everything. I looked in the Haynes manual but it basically says "don't thrash it for a while" with no details. The service manual doesn't mention it at all. Hang on, I just used a search engine rather than the board's search and got this: rdlccrazy.proboards.com/post/465311/thread That's exactly what I needed. Jubbly.

Ask whoever did the rebore.
Some companies leave the bore a little tight and you finish the bore by running in.
My engineer makes the bore good to go straight away. A couple of heat cycles then put the engine under load but not holding it at high revs. I ran one engine in on the dyno for 20 mins with load, then went to the track.

I tried searching for you never found anything either it like its went missing i do 500 miles taking it easy the more miles on it the more revs never letting it rip but I don’t do the miles on the motorway always back roads takes ages unfortunately but it’s always up and down the revs

Have you primed the oil pipe to carb or are you on premix until Arrow sorts yours out. I always use an oil can to pump 2t through the pipes to the carbs. 3 to 4 heat cycles, re torque head. Take care for the first 100mls and maybe a second set of spark plugs and spanner under your seat.
