Hello , I've got a set of original small can Allspeeds on my 350LC , and I think that if anything they are getting louder . So I've bought some re-packing material but I'm struggling to get the baffle out . I've got the large circlip off and the end cap, but the baffle seems to be stuck in the pipe . I don't want to force it , but just wanted to check that it should just pull out, and I'm not missing any grub screw of something keeping it in place.
Thanks
Mike

Pretty sure they just pull out, i never had em on an LC so cant really comment, but the others i had were just circlipped.

The old packing gets tight around the baffle tube. The tubes are perforated too with some sharp edges that can hold the tube in the packing. Try twisting the baffle tube as you pull it. They can be stubborn ! Dusty

I had to sling a rope round a roof beam, attach that to the baffle with a wee hook round the rod on the baffle and give the exhaust an all mighty tug or two before the baffle came free.. usually they come out a bit easier but if it works..

Have you tried to remove the baffle after a run, should be easier if the cold sticky oil is causing it to 'grab' the end can as well. Could use a heat gun etc if you have one handy?

Thanks all , I'll go back out into my garage for a good old tug . I just wanted to check and not break anything.
