Smeg dishwasher has thrown a fit. Buttons don't work and sounds like the pump is staying on

Yes, either the sump sensor is defective, the pump switch contact is permanently on or the leak tray is full… but normally if it’s just the leak tray that’s full then you will get an error code or blink code to say as much.. If you can fathom a running fault on an LC you should be able to handle a dishwasher 😉

Well I took the skirting board off in preparation for a fiddle ,tried on off button again and it seems to have righted itself Put it through a short 27min wash and it worked ...
So now I don't trust it LOL
It's a built in washer aswell

Only thing I know about dishwashers is.... wear marigolds to keep your hands problem free. If I don't use them in my capacity as "washer up" they start cracking and get sore. The dog is the pre-wash, and removes solids and gravy and even residues from curries and the like from all the pots and plates and even has the capacity to pre wash a 2 gallon jam/chutney/tomato-pesto, pan.

There is a leak underneath which I guess has tripped something out but looked on the documents for when we had it and is now 8 years old !

Found the leak ,it's a small diameter grey pipe near the front It was only leaking when switched on doing a wash so not noticeable otherwise
Need to find the correct replacement and how to get in there ?
Lie the washer on it's back and unclipped the base ?

There is bound to be a youtube for how to access stuff on your particular model. But yes one way or another , unscrew panels to access. Putting a towel on the floor and tiling onto its back or side wouldn’t be unheard of !
