Thought I'd post this up in case it's of interest to anyone Webike in Japan sell a variety of repro LC seat parts and complete seats They did a discount on certain bits the other week and discounted shipping so I bit the bullet and bought a Jap spec cut down seat (3cm) Turned up today and looks good quality Base is white plastic like the original and even came with seat catches Had to pay the expected £86 to Parcelforce mind for VAT and import duty along with their fee 🙄 Steve

Was it still worth it with fees and duties?

Love it.
Had a similar style seat, back in the day, made by Two Four(dice symbol). Wish I had known they had a deal on as I was tempted when I first saw them a few months back. I will keep my eyes open in future.

Was it still worth it with fees and duties? The seat Inc post was £210 so with the charges I'm in for £296 so a little bit of an ouch I had it sent with EMS as sometimes they scrape through customs but as expected with it being over £200 it got picked out. Expected VAT but not import duty ☹️ Just fancied something a bit different I have a genuine Guilly which I can always punt to pay for this Also got a standard seat with a good base that now I know the cover I bought for the other seat is good I'll get another and cover that too Choice of 3 then lol Steve

I bought the standard 4L3 one from them a while back, similar type of price.. I’m very please with it. In theory it means I have a spare to sell and then I’d be just looking at the delta as a cost… but it never rolls like that 🙈😂

Couple of weeks before I bought a K2tec rad grill and a sprocket spacer
They slipped in duty free 🙂

They also need to sort flaws in their shipping calculator
They tend to discount shipping more than the seats
Both the standard and the cut down seat have 10 dollars off at $229
But EMS shipping on the standard seat is $103
EMS shipping on the cut down seat is $33 So it's £210 plus duty
In fact that's what I paid. The 260 I paid was dollars so I'm just under £300 😅
I've corrected the post above

Looks fantastic Steve. Is it one of those easy wipe seats, seeing it's being sold by Wee Bike.

Ive bought loads from Webike before, but never a whole seat.
I usually buy their foam and cover sets and use my own base.
Ive said elsewhere but i reckon they are great kit, thick vinyl that will last etc.
The 4L3 mirrors and Beet parts on my 251LC come from them, I also buy OEM Yam parts as well and have bought bodywork and exhausts too.
Like Steve I think their post is variable and they discount then post and the parts over time, if youre not in a hurry you can snag a bargain now and then.
