i have found a new garage to rent, but the up and over door needs repairing its heavy to open and then it wont stay open you have to prop it up. is it any easy repair any ideas ? thanks steve ps if i want the garage i have to mend it myself

most ikely the springs need replacing and the runners need greesing up .

A lot of them use a big coiled spring that is wound up to pre tension it, this gives the lift, it might just need retentioning, google it and see what you can find ;D

thanks everybody for replies i have been waiting for the bloke to empty his crap out of this garage. i think its ready for me this weekend , will let you all know what i find , when i actually get in it.

and sitting under all the crap a 350LC put in there 30 years back and forgoten about looks like new 1 owner 200 miles not even run in yet /
