…is, I now have two LC’s, a GPz 900, a 600 fazer for commuting plus my modern bike a tracer 9GT. I like to use all my bikes on a regular basis but having two of the same seems a bit pointless. The 250 rides and runs absolutely ace, better than the 350 to be honest, but I’ve had my 350 18 years so don’t want to sell that. Not used either of the LC’s for over a fortnight as the GPz has been getting a few runs. So do I sell my 250 or will I regret it? Debating putting the (mint) bounty 250 kit on my 350 and letting the 250 go with the Mars bar kit on it. But I’m lay here in bed contemplating it and keep blowing hot and cold! Aaaaarrghhhh😂😂😂

If the 250 is nicer to ride do as you say and swap the bodywork
Sell the 250, buy a 250 top end, fit it, store 350 top end for the future
But if you don't need the space or money there is no harm not selling
I understand the 250 thing I think. When I had the 250 ypvs it was more relaxing to ride than my 385 hybrid
Didn't seem to have the demonic voices in my head on the 250 🤣

If money isn't an issue then keep 😉
I want a Thruxton 1200 but I will have to sell an LC to get one 😫

Think we've all been there! Sell an LC, regret it for ages then buy another at twice the price you sold the old one for. If you can afford it, keep it I say.

Maybe the thing that’s causing the dilemma is that they are not two of the same… but you are treating as such… and even if they were exactly the same… is that a reason to sell one? I hope not otherwise I’m in big trouble ! 😂🙈
So bottom line is why are you really wanting to get rid… make space, raise cash? Just cause they aren’t getting as much use as you’d like isn’t a reason… one day you might have more time to ride and regret…

I don’t need to sell, could always do with a bit more room, and definitely more time to ride them!

I understand the mindset. I also like to run each bike regularly to keep them running right and avoid any recommissioning work, and I feel that each bike needs to be distinctly different to be worth the garage space and for its turn for a run out to be something I look forward to. Some people are collectors, some aren't, each to their own.
If some days you think I fancy riding the 350, and other days you think I fancy taking the 250 today then keep both. If that rarely happens then either sell one or repurpose it as a collectable/investment, prep it for long term storage and tuck it away in a corner or if single park it in the living room.

+1 on each bike having to be different for them to warrant garage space. I have an LC hybrid and an F2 YPVS presently on the road. I’m building another LC hybrid and a naked YPVS. These two couldn’t be more different other than both being RDs. I’ll probably sell the current two, as I’ll need the space, and funds. billbott if you don’t need the space or funds I’d keep as said above. I’ve a lambretta covered in sheets at one end of the garage. I can’t of ridden it for 10-15 years and probably another 5 before that? But it’s rather sentimental so has earnt it’s space. Jon

Alex Dont forget, spending a shed load of money in getting the replacent bike running like your old one. If its an option, keep them. Its better than money in the bank and bike prices have come down. Dont be fooled by the eb chancers.

I’m going through this problem as well. Today I sold my YSR50 and 2 350s. 1 YPVS and 1 LC. I still have an LC and 1 YPVS that needs to be finished. I sold 2 500s as well. 1 RZV and one RZ. I’m going to sell one of my 500 Gammas, a Ducati and a triump. Too many bikes.

We must all go through this. I am there now, but have made the decision to let my 250LC, LC2 and R1Z go this year. All just sitting there unused and using up space that I need to crack on with a car restoration that needs to be done while I still can.

I think that because I have just got a new to me modern bike (Tracer 9GT) that is just so nice to ride, and does everything easily, my interest in Lc’s has again dissipated! Had a fiddle with the 350 last night after fitting 27.5 pilots and ended up riding the Tracer around the block because the weather was fine. I suppose right now I would probably sell the 250 if someone asked, but as most have said would probably live to regret it. I hadn’t used my GPz for ages until last Wednesday but when I did I thought why am I buying this tracer when this does the job!!!! Next time its fine, I will have a run out to some bike meet on the 250 and ‘light the fire’ again.
Thanks all for your input and comments.

I’m still getting my 400LC hybrid built with interruptions along the way from other projects. It’s the building bit I think I enjoy more than riding it which is a good thing really. 😂 Had to pop out yesterday to get a brake arm for the Drayton I’m building and took the EXUP. Glorious bike to ride plus it needs a few miles before we go to the Manx in August. So if I were you I’d keep the 250 as is and hybrid the 350. They’d then be suitably different plus you’d get the involvement of the build.

None of your other bikes are special in anyway so sell anything other than the Yam.
