Is he going to do it? Matched McPint, next uncle joeys record? Met him a couple of times during the Manx when he’s out for a pint a really softly spoken humble bloke. Followed him from the NW after his dad passed, he continues to surprise me and sometimes scare me when he rides but Jesus he can nail the course. All I hope is he continues to come home safely.

I think he is deffo in with a chance, he is looking better this year on the Honda. I think he'll win the other Supersport too.
Superbike and Superstock will be dominated by Hickman, Dunlop, Harrison and Todd me thinks, but i daren't predict the order!!!
Would love Todd to win one.

He's certainly on fire, and on a mission to prove he's not just a smaller bike rider these days.
On practice week, and the two races so far, he's gonna be hard to beat in every race he's in.

Back on track (pun intended) I'd like to see Dunlop win just one more time.

Seems I'm thinking of the wrong rider...DOH. I meant John McGuinness. You can see clearly how their names are almost identical.

When you realise that mickey d has got 15 years on McPint I’d expect he could do it. Are we watching history in the making?

I'm a massive fan of MD. No corporate BS from him, does his own thing, toes his own line, doesn't give a flying **** what others think. How any prick could question his ability on any bike must be suffering a mental relapse or something! It certainly wound him up! And as for speculating....it's road racing, no place for it in my mind, I wish the race commentators would do just that, instead of slavering on about what could be... Carl Cox. How much does this diamond put into bike sport? What a fookin legend!!!!!!!!

We’ve just come back after a great week at Glenlough campsite. Big shout out to local lad Dom Herbertson who achieved his first 130mph lap on a privately run S1000rr. An incredible performance considering the budget they have.

If you want the TT vibe and haven’t got the plus app ask Alexa for Manx radio for today’s race commentary and all things Manx.

He's in a different league to everyone else this year, I'm astounded to see just how good he is on pretty much anything he rides. He'll need some extra shelves putting up after this TT that's for sure 👍🏻 🏍 🏁

Hickey looks to be a touch better on the big bikes , if all's well, but at the TT just finishing is a feat, so can't be taken for granted by anyone. Supersport and twins Dunlop has the upper hand, 3 wins so far, with another SS and ST to go, could equal Hutchy 5 in a week, although that was the maximum possible at the time, 8 races now , won't diminish the achievement much though, it's brutal to win one.
Rip Raul.

It’s what always leaves a slightly bad/sad feeling , doesn’t stop them and doesn’t stop us. RIP Raul. Micky on it, be interesting to see how far he can go, I’d love to see Dean add to his wins he’s always there or there abouts got a lot of time for him.

I've always been a big fan of the tt but I'm finding it increasingly difficult to defend as the death toll keeps rising . Six last year was disastrous and one so far this year is one too many. I know the throttle works both ways etc. etc. but these are racers and it increasingly appears that they may well need protecting from themselves.

You're on a slippery slope if you start banning events like the TT.
Competitors unfortunately lose their lives in various forms of Motorsports, which are all inherently dangerous.

Motorsport is inherently dangerous , the tt though has a disproportionately and unacceptably high death rate. I don't want to see the tt nor any other event banned but something clearly needs to be done to address this.

Extreme sports are dangerous hence the appeal since time immemorial for some competitors and audiences. I respect anyone that can do this and their choice to compete and often the competition isn’t about the fame the kudos it’s the competition in its purest form. You often hear how alive they feel, racers, climbers, free fallers. What will do for the TT will be business the insurance and the feeder system being compromised massively. None of us are getting out of here alive but the choice is how you live. Here for a good time not a long time.

I can’t see how you can change it without compromising it and then it’s no longer the TT, and would it still have the same appeal for competitors or audiences? I understand what you’re saying and where I stay the home owner witnessed both of last year’s sidecar crashes and fatalities. They are traumatised by it. Speak to them they still agree with the races and the choices being made.

It's sad indeed when someone loses their life and as it's the TT it affects us bike riders more than most as we follow these guys and admire them for what they can do and what we can't or won't do. But I understand totally why they take the risks they do. It's certainly not about money, it's about being the best, the fastest and to prove something to themselves. Speed is a hell of a drug and there's nothing so addictive.

I don't know what could be done Veg , I have just come to the conclusion that I dont think it can carry on in its present form. The problem being if you restrict engine size ,impose rev limits or anything else it'll just encourage the riders to push harder to gain an edge.(130mph supersport laps prove that ) I do think though that if something isn't done voluntarily by the organisers then they'll have restrictions enforced by higher powers that will probably finish it off completely.
