Ok I know it’s been talked about before but got the usual clutch slip on full power. What upgrades do people do? EBC plates and 3 x stronger springs seem to be the way to go.

Try the EBC DRC043 kit. Wider friction plates and slightly uprated springs.

I’ve had great success with Vesrah VC-281 plates with the stock springs. As stated above the friction material is wider so you have to remove the rubber cushion rings if still present.

Try the EBC DRC043 kit. Wider friction plates and slightly uprated springs. +1 Fitted mine easily (remove the rubber cushion rings if present) and no clutch slip issues now. Dave at Mutts Nutts sells the EBC kits.

Try the EBC DRC043 kit. Wider friction plates and slightly uprated springs. I run this in all mine. Plus 3 new oem springs and 3 of the ebc springs. Top job and zero slipping.

Is this for a standard or tuned engine? If standard, then just fitting a new stock clutch should be fine. Probably for a tuned engine too.

Isnt the HD kit just a kit with plates for a bigger yam with wider frictions/steels and slightly uprated springs?
Im wondering if you just bought the bigger bikes standard kit would it be cheaper for the same thing?
I say that as you probably dont want the HD springs, horrid things...
Ive not looked... im just idly wondering...
Anyway... always fit new springs. The OEM ones go baggy really quickly and are cheap. I found when i measured a bunch of old clutches that the plates were all in spec, it was the springs that were trashed and probably causing the slip.

Like tacky1 and a few others I also run 3 x HD and 3 x OEM springs, clutch doesn't slip nor require you to be Charles Atlas to operate it!

It was always a 'thing' to do the 3+3 thing with the springs, but really if you fit brand new OEM springs its often more than man enough for the job. They are a wear part really.
I have a full compliment of uprated springs on one of my bikes, even with other levers its not ideal. But there are other things you can do to lighten the lever of course.

The EBC kit came with 6 HD springs and I have no spare OEM springs to hand, so using a 50/50 mix of springs (as suggested by Dave W at Mutts) seemed a viable option. I'm sure there are lots of options, and if one finds one that works, then it's smiles all round
