So ive been having trouble with my gamma recently at first i thought it was the pv but ive proved its not that this is how it goes . it starts and warms up as normal the first time i open it up it revs out cleanly up the gears but then it won’t rev past 6000 ,up to 6000 its as normal, im binning the zeel as i dont trust it anymore im waiting on an ignitech from Dent but i don’t think its the cdi as I’ve swapped it for the standard and it’s still the same, the carbs have been checked and the plugs have been changed , anyone any ideas?

If it has high and low speed running coils in the stator like an LC, it could be the high speed coils breaking down when warm.

Hi Stu does it rev up in the lower gears and not in the higher gears?
If under load and it does not rev up could it be due to lack of air?
Have you checked for blockages or maybe air filters full of oil.

If it was an LC or RD I would say take the balls out the carbs and clean the air circuit behind, but have no idea if this applies to a gamma!

It does have balls in the carbs that haven’t been out ,the filter is a year old and only done a few hundred miles It does go until is warm ill check the stator tomorrow it does rev through the gears but only until its warm

I had something similar on one of mine. Imported from Australia. Turned out it was the rotary valve timing was out on both my fronts. I spent forever trying to figure it out. I was swapping parts from my other bike and eventually had the valve covers off and seen the prob.
