My RD350A has stopped sparking on RH plug, poss condenser or coil?? Any way of trouble shooting in advance of buying parts? TiA

With ignition on, Unplug the wire from the coil to the points and ground it out to the frame or other -ve connection. As you touch it off and on the plug should spark.
It’s just a battery, switch, coil, points contact circuit…all in series….so not much to debug before you buy parts particularly if you have one working bank..

First check done, swapped the plugs around, no / intermittent spark from one plug. I will order new B8HS plugs first. Reckon these are correct ones?

Sure it doesn’t just need a bit of a brush up? If you buy new, be careful to get genuine.. lots of fake ones out there… plenty of info about how to spot them on line and only buy from an authorised distributor… one that NGK list not the claim of the distributor.

Plug checked, genuine. Cleaned and gap checked. Intermittent spark but not running. Seems rich also, with new fuel leak when tap on. I'll try new plugs first, got no spares anyway.

I had a bend in the wire near the breaker points. The bike ran until it warmend up, then one cylinder died. After long time troubleshooting I pulled the wire apart at this bend and some black stuff fell out of the insulation. Problem fixed? No! After an even longer search I found the baffle in the exhaust of the side which didn't run right was blocked with carbon deposit.

New NGK plugs fitted today, started and ran well. Thanks for your advice.
I'm now left with LH carb continously fuel flow from overflow pioe when tap is on!

It's strange as I've gone through 2 sets of ngk plugs and the bike has literally done about 30 miles since complete rebuild,1st set came from a motor factors we deal with at work the other set ebay , I've now gone over to champion plugs, I remember years ago having a GT250 that would eat ngk no problem with champion!! Go figure?
