I know the quality of models builders can be astronomical, but is this one really a model? Jon

Yes, it is. I think Veg named all the different kits the parts came from Dusty

Yes, it is. I think Veg named all the different kits the parts came from Dusty I must admit the forks don’t look like they’d work if they were real, but the exhausts just look so real. I cannot see how you’d get the lustre of the end cans in paint rather than real aluminium, let alone the trouble of painting on the welding heat marks? Jon

I barely have the patience to work on real bikes anymore, no way my old eyes and clumsy fingers could do this.

You can get metal paints today that look real as well as something called bare metal foil which is exactly that a foil that you rub onto surfaces. I’ll pop some on later.

I’ve got them on back order 1 from hannants 1 from hiro boy. I’ve recently finished a tamiya one but can’t load pics direct from Flickr as it’s an app not on my Mac. I’m actually a little gutted with the new hasegawa one as I spent ages detailing the tamiya one then they release a new state of the art kit. Some good websites for modelling tools paints and photo etch are as follows: www.hannants.co.ukwww.Hiroboy.comdesignuta.starfree.jp/index.html#GuideLast one is a Japanese site they do lots of resin updates I’ve several transkits for later sheene Yamaha some Kawasaki, Honda and Suzuki super bikes racers from the early 80’s etc not cheap but unique I’ve recently nearly finished an early Wayne Gardner moriwaki Kawasaki z1r racer

A few years ago I had the same problem with Plaza Japan. The Pagani Huayra was £20 posted from them and not available here. I thought I'd buy one, see what I get selling it on eBay and maybe buy loads more. Ended up costing me £48!

Me too. Did loads of Airfix kits as a kid, then did Tamiya stuff into my teens. Haven't done one for years now - last thing I did was a Tiger 1 tank, which is the only survivor of all the stuff I did; 20230131_203624 by dusty miller, on Flickr
