Saw it earlier
Was originally 3100 or offer
Too little detail or pics for me. Obviously can't have run as oil line is off
Brave man to buy unseen with no further details

Hmmm... Two weeks... a 'turn n burn' then.
Sounds like flippin for profit or the seller realised its too much work perhaps?
Neither the best way for the next buyer to get into the LC game sadly.
Werent we thinking the recession/inflation etc etc would bring prices down?

They have by £200 in this case. That’s a potential money pit.

I see that as a ‘get you on the ladder’ bike. Some people may not have or want to borrow £8k for a restored one. They can chip away at restoring it bit by bit.

Jon I get that its fun to do your own... Obviously lol... and I get that you might save money... but would you in this case when you spend 3k on it to start with? Can you do a nice bike from this base for <£5k in the UK nowadays? If not then youre upside down before you start etc.

As Jon says, some folks just want to get onto the bottom end of the ladder any way they can. the situation is same as paying for electricity on a prepayment meter… the least able to find funds have to pay the most in the end.

I recon I could do it for that, assuming there were no nasty surprises? I’m lucky enough to be able to paint though, so that saves close to a grand. Even if it did cost more, like me and others have said it’s irrelevant if you can’t lay your hands on £8k at any one time. Jon

Realy £3K for this and thats a good deal . How things have changed . Exactly. I’d say it’s about right in todays money. The good thing about that one is it’s nearly all ther and been dry stored? (certainly looks true) a lot of those bits look like they’d clean up well. I know what you mean though. My LC/TZR bitsa hybrid was swapped for services (lambretta painted and engine rebuilt) the value of around £500 from memory? He got it off another mate who said in the pub one night he had enough spares to build a whole bike. I think my mate paid about £300 for it. Those days have gone. Jon
