Whilst there is no way I would own something like this myself, I can appreciate its uniqueness. Let’s face it it’s still a very nice looking classic.
TBH I’m not a fan of the green bolt brigades attitude, but in fairness again totally understand their desires. I’ve seen a very well restored LC on many an occasion, and appreciate the effort that has gone into them, but once you’ve seen one you’ve seen them all. Nothing new to look at.
Can you imagine going to an art gallery where all the painting are the same? What a weird thought!
That’s why I think this bike is great.

That was at Stafford. Extremely well done. Didn't realise it was electric until I had a really good look. Not worth that much though Rob

Impressive workmanship to hide the electrics like that, but it probably doesnt help the weight so impacts the speed/range. Clever packaging tho.

It's a bit of fun, I have seen it at a triples rally and its very well executed. I think he said it has a range of about 30-40 miles if you ride it properly Simon built it mainly from scrap parts, so no great loss as far as ruining a KH250 goes.

He has called it a KH250e He also also built this, when you couldn't give KH250 engines away ....

Last time he advertised the 48 cylinder Kh, he wanted a million quid !!

I have a soft spot for the KH250, having owned one. If that was mine all I'd want to do is put an engine back in it. I loathe electric cars and bikes but to do that to a classic is sacrilegious.

Putting my foot down on this. If he'd done it on, lets say, a Honda Superdream, then I couldn't give a toss but what he's done here is change a homicidal 2 stroke that would happily try to kill you even if you sat on it to a bike that looks exciting but has less power than a Honda Melody. And a 40 mile range? At least a KH would give me about 60...
Think this needs to be in the WTF section.

ps and £20K???

"homicidal 2 stroke", you know it's a KH250 don't you? I own one and you could not describe it as homicidal

Have you actually taking it out on the road? Shakes it's head violently, tank slappers are a common trait. Wheelies all over the place and only handles properly two up. A proper 2 stroke lol.

Well he likes extremes for sure, electric 250 and a 48 cylinder version.
His bikes and can do what he likes to them obviously.

What a shame why do it to a decent bike rather than something nobody wants clever I guess though

Great skills at play to make it look like that, it looks a cracking job. I wouldn't pay 20k for it, but someone will. Just watch Vintage Voltage and see the sort of money they charge for conversions of classics. At least with the car conversions, they usually end up with more power and a decent range. I think Vintage Voltage did a Royal Enfield.
Doesn't matter what classic it was done to; someone will be offended.

A bit pricey, but a brilliantly executed job... looks great and probably quicker than the original.🤣 His bike to do what he want with, and it's only a KH250 at the end of day.😉

All that money, time and effort for 45miles of 55mph, Wow he’s got more money than sense.

I've done about 200m on a KH250 when a mate and I had a quick swap with my RD200 in the car park at Carnaby in 1980. The guy was quite impressed with the liveliness of the 200 and how eager the front wheel was to lift off the ground.
On the other hand I think there was 0% chance of the KH front wheel ever leaving the ground. From what I've heard they do try to kill you if you try going around corners on them. It's best feature was the sound of the engine.
This one has lost the KH's only redeeming feature.
Very smart job and very clever.
55mph is the fastest I managed to achieve from my 350LC on one pot.
