Hi Prices are on the website, or call Paul for a quote. If I ever get a set of Pv barrels relined, I will do a thread, but I would imagine the process will be the same.

Very Interesting read. Well done Dusty. As someone has said, the amount of work that goes into this doesn't seem to cost the earth and there will not be too much profit in the job for PJME. Great guys though and fab service.

Super thread and really interesting. My 350 to 400 cc barrels were re-sleeved, O Ringed and ported by Fahron Engineering with what looks to be a very similar process. The head was also re-profiled to suit.

The top eyelit on my conrod broke in a half many moons ago destroying my rhs cylinder and piston. All that was left was the crown of the piston and a bent conrod. All this happened at 100 mph. I was gutted and thankfully i didnt crash just left a black line for about a kilometre. My barrels have a lovely tune and the cylinders had been machined at the bottom where the 347 numbers to reduce the stroke i guess.I couldnt get the work done here in ireland so i sent them to company in the uk called pist and broke not sure if they are still in existence. This was before the age of the internet. I didnt get my original cylinders back but i got a resleeved set new pistonts rings full top end set and a cranckshaft rebuild for 600 pound sterling bare in mind this was over twenty years ago.

Fantastic to see the re-sleeving process, step by step.
Many thanks for posting up Dusty ๐
P.S. Out of interest I wonder which pistons Paul recommends?

Piston Broke...that's a name I haven't heard of in years. When I was 17 I lunched my little RS100 engine. Went to them, found an engine (ยฃ40 I recall) and swapped them over in a couple of hours.

Paul supplied Japanese Mitaka's with the resleeved barrels - has done with all my previous rebores. This thread may get an update soon Dusty

I have used PJME for both rebore and cylinder reline. Top work and great prices. This thread shows exactly the work and skill involved. John
