Passed away today. And a sad loss. That man cracked me up.
From the Young Ones to the Comic Strip, Blackadder and many films he always made me laugh out loud.
Rest well.

What surprised me was he was 72 I actually thought he was younger. Great great talent.

He was brilliant in Cracker. Could do drama just as well as comedy.

I remember seeing him take the engine out of a Wartburg. Can't find the clip anywhere at the moment. I seem to think it was a series he did about cars he'd owned in the past.

Last night I watched 'In Hell'. Johnny Depp and Robbie in a very dark and sad tale involving Jack the Ripper.
Yep, he sure could act.

Coltrane in a Cadillac - one of the first road trip / car show programmes. I think I’ve got the book somewhere and remember him being a bit of an engineer / petrol head type.
A sad loss.

loved that guy in so many things i love to watch . he has left a legacy of programs that will be loved far in the future
