Been waiting 6 months for this and been without a dyno for nearly 2 months, so today was a good but stressful day as the new dyno wouldn't fit through the doors laying flat, so we had to get it on its side, not easy when only 2 of us doing it. After some creative thinking and lot of squeaky bum moments, we finally got it on its side, then into the workshop, the big challenge was getting it back laying flat inside the dyno room, 1 mini forklift truck, 1 engine hoist, 2 trolley jacks, 2 G clamps, 4 D shackles, a few straps and alot of stress, but we managed it.......just So now I can do Bikes, Quads and Karts....... I would have taken more photos, but TBH I daren't take my hands off the dyno while it was on its side ! - its only 700kgs Anyway, will finish reassembling it tomorrow, then software setup and configuration, then should be ready for testing and calibrating, should be back up and running by Monday all being well

Wow that's some upgrade. You can do 2 bikes side by side too, so waiting times will be reduced!
Good luck with it Dave.

I'm surprised you actually managed any photos TBH. When I've been involved in any thing like that it goes right out of my mind until it's all safely done. So well done.
Best of luck setting it up. Hope it all goes seamlessly.

That looks like a cool piece of kit. I'm a little surprised you went for one that does carts and quads. I thought you had enough on your plate with all the RD's.

I thought you had enough on your plate with all the RD's. its a few customers who I do quads for that has driven the need to upgrade, ironically since deciding to buy the dyno, even though I've not advertsied the fact until now, I've had a steady stream of quad owners contacting me over the last few months for work and asking if I knew abybody who dyno'd them - funny how things go sometimes

I got it back together today and installed and configured the software, did a few test runs just to check a few things, will be running through it all tomorrow to make sure its all working as it should, or at least, putting a snagging list together as there is probably a few niggles with it as its all new software as well

Often good to have a bit of variation in your customer base, provides some resilience for your income stream. I guess most of the weight (700kg!) is in the roller and the frame to stop it flying off when in use! Always nice to have some shiny new kit to work with.
