Just back from the Docs with housemaid’s knee thats the third time this year and its effing sore,so ive used the works private health care and i can get an op to remove the bursit so it won’t come back ,anyone had this done? Not had this done but I was diagnosed with runners knee and I never did any running. It came on quite suddenly and when the physio did something to demonstrate that the knee cap was rubbing directly on bone I nearly went through the ceiling. He recommended exercises to strengthen the muscles around the knee which seemed to work but it does feel like it is on the edge of returning all the time. What I find helped was to smack my other knee into the tarmac at Cadwell. Instantly the 'bad' knee become the good one. Now I have two bad knees for two different reasons.

My other knee is already my bad knee! The bursitis is the sac of fluid that lubricates between the front of your kneecap and the skin it gets inflamed with constant kneeling

I had one removed from my elbow in March, so far no more elbow pain and improved range of movement.
