“My life fades. The vision dims. All that remains are memories. I remember a time of chaos. Ruined dreams. This wasted land. But most of all, I remember the Road Warrior. The man we called “Max”.

I'm still awake surprisingly so I'll explain. The film is called Mad Max. The mouse pad is a design from the cars the MFP (main force patrol, ie cops) used. Possibly the greatest ever bike/car dystopian future film ever made. There were other films. Mad Max 2 the Road Warrior. Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome and Fury Road. If you have never seen these and you ride a motorcycle I cannot understand why. If you've never heard of them...then I'm lost for words. Unless this is the biggest wind up ever... Alex ps His name was the Night Rider. Remember him when you look up at the night sky. (I will, I will)

I thought Snake Pliskin in "Escape from New York" was the greatest example of a dystopian future... before I went to London that is.....

Need to get in front of tv more often. Thanks for explaining.

Need to get in front of tv more often. Thanks for explaining. I watched it again recently. Great film. My advice is that as your time is valuable don't bother with the others, watch the first one again! I think about it every time I reach for my hacksaw. My Mrs. used to buy these great big lamb leg joints. My job was to cut them in half so we could cook one half and put the other in the freezer (when we had one). I would go in the garage and get the hacksaw down from it's nail. This will make sense later (maybe).

When I watch mad max I always say to the missus that reminds me of helping my uncle in his butchers shop (he made me cut the head off a pig with a hack saw)it makes a distinctive noise. Everytime i watch mad max i start looking at air cooled kawasaki’s

Everytime i watch mad max i start looking at air cooled kawasaki’s My Grandma used to tell me how during the war they would buy a pigs head. They boiled it in a big pan and make different things out of the different parts but basically ate all of it. I heard the punch line many times: They left the eyes until last......they would see them through the week. Cutting my lamb joint in half also reminded me of the scene in Carry on Jack where Captain Feerless has his leg amputated by the brilliant Bernard Cribbins. I often start cutting through the bench as well as the wood during my attempts at joinery

I watched that film last night. Though...crap cars and no bikes! Watching Escape from LA now, better cars but the 'bikes' are sodding Harleys. Alex

Two pads enter...LOL.
The new film is called Furiosa but I have no idea if Tom Hardy, or in fact anyone playing Max will be in it.
