Same as any 2T mate, it all depends what you want out of it.
I had one back in the 89, bought as a box of bits, standard porting, it didn't have an exhaust, but I had a 125LC one, the bike was a wheely machine, but only did 60 odd top end, I bought a Giannelli exhaust for it, Hytec reeds, platinum plug, K&N filter and re jetted, blueprinted barrel to the cases, total change, the bike had lost the wheelying, but gained 20 MPH.
A mate had another one, same mods except for a micron and a full fairing, that little thing did just over 90.
I know you can get big bore kits, I think 110cc, you can port that if you want to, get the squish set to the piston and volume correct, (something I know little about) look into which v-force reeds you can jam in there, bigger carbs are a good bet, I wouldn't go bigger than a 26mm myself on this engine, best of all is a well tuned exhaust, but if you do all the things listed here, you will have a quite powerful little bike, (caveat) at the cost of reliability, you will always have to do something, that's the trade off.
My bike and my mates were both reliable as could be, we didn't go too far.
Something for you to think about.
Got to be honest though, I would love another with all these mods done myself, I am always looking for one in need of resto to do all this myself.

Cheers for the pointers Tony, Yes i have picked up a brand new os Autisa kit, i have a cylinder head coming from Germany that i understand needs to be reworked to suit , i think the best bet is having it all tuned and a pipe made for it. It's all standard at the mo it's very rideable but i feel it has a bit more to give. I totally understand i will always have to do semething to it as i am now.... my speedo needle has just snapped...
The engine has just been rebuilt 700 miles ago including every bearing, the needle roller, the brass gearbox bush, yam conrod kit, rebore, clutch so it should be ready for being worked fingers crossed.
Thanks again mate.

I'd try a 125lc carb on it. 125LC carbs come in three guises, 12A, 10W and 1GU. 12a and 10w are 24mm and the 12a is supposidly restricted somehow, I've tried them back to back multiple times and found zero difference apart from the 10w needs jetted from 155 up and the 12a needs 190+ jets. the 1GU is a 26mm version and is easily identifiable by the two water pipes coming out of it (I just cap these off usually). Or try a 24/26mm flatslide PWK copy, Polini do good ones if you dont want to fork out 200+ for a genuine keihin.
O-Ring your new head then you can use multiple basegaskets to set your final squish. I'm running a big bore kit at the moment on my 125lc and using a custom head gasket, issue being it's 1.2mm thick so setting my squish any lower than that is impossible. I'll O-Ring my head eventually to give me more control over the squish.

Probab;y the best and most cost effective route would be to ask Mick Abbey to make up a pipe for it and tune it, big bore or not. Thats what I did with my little YSR.

Sorry for the late reply, nice little bike i like the numbers you are producing to be fair Mick will be making me a pipe its just getting organised. I bought a micron expecting it to perform a little bit better I put one size up main in but its rubbish flat no urgency and no power band so its an ornament. Its far more rideable with the standard exhaust albeit restrIcted.
Thanks all ride safe.
