Hi all,
I’m in a bit of a dilemma. My insurance is due Friday and the 2 RD’s are currently agreed value of £5k for my LC/TZR hybrid, and £5.5 for my Kenny Roberts F2.
Trouble is I think they’ve gone up in value since last year, and want to give a new price on renewal.
I can take photos and fill out their for to email them, but I’m undecided on value.
I valued them realistically (I think) last year. Both are not 100% but close. Do you think RD’s have gone up by about 10% from last year, or more?
I’m gonna take photos for the insurance tomorrow. Perhaps if I post them on here, a few can comment on value?
It’s even more relevant as I’m thinking of selling the Kenny F2 this year.

I put 7k on my LC hybrids The more I think about it maybe your right. I had a better idea on the F2 as it’s all but standard apart from paint, microns and triumph calipers. A hybrid is a bit more of a difficult thing to price. I was thinking maybe it would sell at around £6k max, as very rarely people like a hybrid 100% and want to change it. However the insurance value should be the replacement value to me. In which case your probably nearer? Jon

Norbo valued mine at £12.5 or £13 I think I worked on rebuild cost and the insurance company were happy.

When you insure a hybrid and you get to the box where it asks is it modified, do you typically give the minimum information or go full on into the details?

Full details on mods, not worth losing out on a claim
I thought you didn't need a valuation under £10k especially if you take up the agreed value option
They are insuring against a stated value, not the bike really

What Steve said. Anything not mentioned and you have no insurance.

You are paying the premium for how much you want to insure so name all the mods and name your price ,thats why mine is so expensive but still better than losing out

Exactly that and I took photos lots of photos with a valuation from norbs and a comprehensive build list of every single modification. They want to know what it is and why the value is what it is and they arent funny about values it’s the same with my buell it is unique and has a more expensive valuation due to that reason.
