I run premix on all my bikes. I carry a 300ml bottle of oil in the tail with a scale down the side.
I use Exol Optima Racing Two stroke oil, which is fully synthetic and comes in various sizes, so I usually get a 20 litre drum. I keep about 5 x 1 litre bottles filled from the 20L drum. I then fill up the small 300ml bottle from the 1L bottles and keep that in the tail. If I go on a longer run, I take an extra 300ml bottle with me.
I run at 40 to 1, which works out at 25ml per litre of fuel.
Here are some other measurements :-
20:1 = 50ml per 1L of fuel 30:1 = 33ml per 1L of fuel 33:1 = 30ml per 1L of fuel 40:1 = 25ml per 1L of fuel 50:1 = 20ml per 1L of fuel
The better spec the oil, the less oil you need. For example, Castrol A747 recommends 50:1.
Baby milk bottles have been mentioned in the past to carry oil, as they have an "ml" scale on the side of them.
If you need any help, just ask.
Cheers Rob

For my Scott I use 100ML bottles that are airport legal. Easy to find & each one has enough for 5 Litres at 50:1 I can get 2 in the little toolbox on the side of the bike.

I had an idea for a product.....
I am going to make some 300ml bottles with the litres of fuel scale down the side for different oil ratios.
I have just ordered 10 bottles to give them a try.
Ideal for premix bikes if you roll that way :-)

I measure mine out and put it into fruit shoot bottles(kids drinks) they seal really well and you don't get oil all over when your squirting it into the tank, enough in each bottle for 5 litres

Steven from this forum put me ont the Shell 2 stroke app. This is also very easy to use. I find the biggest problem now being availability of oil once your out on the road doing long rides.

Keep the oil tank and draw from it with a syringe. You can get large ones from a Chemists😉
