Since there was mention of immune systems, I thought this might make an interesting conversation...

I had covid at the beginning of the year and didn't believe the PCR test result because i had no symptoms at all. It was picked up in a routine test i insisted on another PCR test and this one was also positive. A couple of months later whilst working away i worked with 3 seperate men who all tested positive over a 4 week period. It didnt bother me as i thought it was not possible to catch it again so early after the last bout. The third man got me and i was locked up for a week in my hotel.

Where I sit at work the guys behind, in front and across the walk way had it. The girl who sits across from me had it and now has it again. I've not had it officially but back in January I felt awful for a few days and had one day off. My symptoms mirrored what others told me but my tests were negative. Maybe it depends how far down your throat you shove the thing 😁

I've never had it. I've also never taken a test. I did have 3 colds in Jan, Feb and March but after all that's been said about it I didn't think a runny nose for a few days counted as symptoms.

Iv never had it either, even when missus and two late teenage weans had it ! I had 5 months on furlough from work, and a few weeks self isolating a few times, as i was working with people who had it. Appart from work and home and Tesco once a week, we went no where, and did what we were told regarding Covid. Masks and Covid shit are still all mandatory at work. Steven.

Had it end Jan/beginning of Feb
Those lft nasal tests are crap as they showed me as negative but throat lft and pcr both pos
Like a shitty cold/throat infection so got away lightly
Know somebody who had it Dec and Jan which was apparently possible as their were 2 variants around
I'd been really careful for 2 years to protect my son then visited my brother for a small birthday party
All tested on the day, all fine but 13 out of 15 had it 3 days later

The scary thing it appears to be the luck of the draw on how it affects you. My dads neighbour (70) with no underlying symptoms, died. My wife's friend (45) bit overweight, died. My daughters friend, both mum and dad had it and didn't even know. It was only when the had to do a test and both came back positive.

I have been lucky, everyone around me has had it but I have remained covid free.

My tin foil hat seams to have kept me safe, I haven't had the vaccine or had covid.

touch wood, never had, everyone around me seems to have had it, I worked throughout the 2 years of it, never had a day off. went to my Dad's 80th birthday party in March, nearly everybody ended up with it, but I never did and I was sat at a table where 8 other people all got it - go figure ! - maybe I am a super spreader, or maybe all the 2 stroke fumes makes you immune !

I think we've probably all had it, knowingly or not. Saying that I've had all the jabs and booster and never felt ill...

I worked all the way through the pandemic, did every site visit required and never (knowingly) caught it.
We had to be careful as the mother in law had COPD (she passed away last November – not covid related)
Me and the FPO went to Malta at the end of March and we both felt a bit rough a few days after getting back. Both tested positive. I was sent home from work so had a week off (company policy)
Neither of us suffered particularly badly, mainly rough in the morning until the paracetamol kicked in.

had it twice, the last time only 3 weeks after having a booster. Both times were after air travel! The girl at work had just come back from Majorca with two friends and they all tested positive. She said it felt just like a cold. The first time she was very ill.
