Am I a miserable old t**t or is this normal? The wife has just had a delivery of a new hairdryer, it was over £250 she then also tells me her haircuts are £200 every 8 weeks and she has a wash and blow dry regularly at £60. What the actual f##k. Is this normal?

Nah, that's high maintenance 😱
Mine goes for a wet cut every 8 weeks or so at £11 a go
DIY hair dye at £5 a time, had the same hairdryer for years 😁
Not as high maintenance as a TVR mind 🤣

As a one off, I bought my daughter a Dyson Air wrap hair styler thing for her birthday, that was over £500 and its not as big as a hair drier!

Just console yourself with the fact that it makes it easier to explain why you spend so much on motorbikes

At least shes being honest. I bet there a lot of folk on here saying "look at these new expansion pipes, brand new and all for £30" weve all done it I guess.

This hairdressing kit ain't cheap you know, last pair of scissors i purchased for the wife we're £40 and they were the cheap ones plus a set of cordless Wahl clippers £100. On the plus side i haven't paid for a haircut in 35 years. Mind you £200 for a haircut even once a year is outrageous.

If my wife won the lottery she would not spend that amount on her hair...... she's bald anyway...

No...you are an arse, not just a miserable battard. 10 coffees a week are £25, do you really want your wife/husband/non gender specific, looking like they have been dragged/pushed though a hedge? for the price of a few coffees? I'm actually surprised you are still married!! You must be a right narky brooding sod after she's had a trim and blow dry.....

(I can have up to 10 coffees a day that are better than most cafe bought ones... which probably saves her a mint....which probably helps quite a lot with 2 wheel purchases......)

Am feeling a lot better now as I 'only' spent £150 on a hair dryer birthday present...it could have been a lot worse

Well....Adlib and Liddle dont have any at the moment, so bought a Hussel Robbs for £99 which was reduced by 40 0dd quid. Looked at more expensive ones...but they only produce the same brew at the end of the day! I do not skimp on beans though..... I don't waste caffeine points on crap beans that make "ashtray" tasting mouthwash, spent too many decades not knowing what proper coffee was..... (had several machines, they last 12 months plus...and owe me nothing )

What the actual f##k. Is this normal? No. Not normal. My Mrs has been a mobile hairdresser for over thirty years. She buys her hairdriers from Argos or Asda and never pays much for them. She's never paid much more than £30 for one and uses them for hours everyday. She doesn't do a haircut that costs £200. Probably £30/£40 maximum and turns up at the door to do it. I would expect a cut and at least a blow job not blow dry for £200 and then it would have to be the best I'd ever had. I've not paid for a haircut since about 1985 I don't think 😊

Veg, she’s probably paying more… just too shy to say… the 200 is on the card, the balance is cash from her special fund….
Strategy sound familiar?
