I am getting near the end of a 350ypvs build and can't decide if i want to do the next one or sell it. If i decide to sell it i know i'll never buy another for the price i paid. IMG_2574[4827] by Gary Woodward, on Flickr It's the White & Red one in the pic. I've owned and ridden it for about 2 years. While i've had it i have put a new YSS rear shock on, rebuilt the front forks using F2 lowers with 31K stanchions and internals new Yss springs, top yoke modified by Barry Dawson (Blue Haze engineering York) to fit MT125 riser & Protaper fatbars, New throttle & clutch cables, New BT46's, Triumph calipers with Venhill lines, New discs, Banshee coils, It has an aftermarket alloy rad, is Apparently tuned but i don't now any details, No airbox and foam pods on extension tubes, N2 clocks, The front mudguard has been damaged and repaired, Starts run and rides fine, exhausts look like Microns with different end cans but can't see any marking on them, I've done about 1000 miles on it while owning it and the plan was to hybrid it but i want more time to ride the White & Blue and the one that's nearly ready plus my Mt09sp. Not in a rush to make my mind up. So do i keep it and rebuild it or move it on If i do sell it i'll probably regret it when it gets to winter i and want to build something. I'm not expecting you all to decide for me but what do you think ??

Keep it, its a lovely machine and you know you will regret. I have mothballed a few of my bikes as I could not part with them, every couple of years I refresh and use them for 6 months and put away. For me its the ownership not just the occasional ride.

I would keep it and hybrid it so you will have 2 quite different bikes

I would keep it and hybrid it so you will have 2 quite different bikes If I decide to keep it and hybrid it which would probably mean it would be off the road for about a month as I have almost everything I need including a spare tank and panels that could be painted ready. With the White & Blue one and the one thatβs nearly finished all 3 would be quite different π

Throw a cover over it and forget it. Unless you need the money for heating oil......

All bikes i have sold i have regretted. Keep it unless finances dictate. In any event it will be better than money in the bank.

If you did decide to sell it then the price you paid for it shouldn't matter as the price you will get for it will most likely be way higher than the price you paid. I think the main thing to consider is the known quantity factor. When you buy one of these, there's always the 'what am I actually buying'. One persons 'proper job' is another persons WTF were they thinking. If you are going to get another one later on, then I would stick with what you have.

As has been said, if you don't need to sell, keep it and build a hybrid!

It needs to be more different, so hybrid or sell it and get another stroker. A 370 LC with all the good bits would be my bet. I'm doing one, to go with my 31K

I have been having a good think about it and i think it'll be staying now. But the engine might end up in a different chassis so i've been looking at a few options. I really need to get on with the one i'm currently doing before sorting out what to put it in

I've owned multiple RDs at the same time, but it got pretty pointless really as they're not different enough to stand out, I ended up only ever riding the favourite one and ignoring the rest. The best option I found was a mix, I have an LC, a TDR, a modern bike, a classic bike, etc. They're all massively different and give a totally different experience and I'd really struggle to choose a favourite, it just depends what mood I'm in.
