Not very good in general, try Allens Performance for genuine parts.

Norbo and Mutts too. Use the search function on here for Keyster and read members views and personal experiences. Been there myself and eventually went for gen mikuni. Johnπ

Thanks for the comments guys...think I'll give keyster carb kits a miss... disappointing really as I used one of these kits on a ke175 and it worked a treat

Think this is the issue
They have the spec of some kits right but the RD ones are wrong
The wrong taper on a needle and it will run like crap

What about the carb kits from Yambits?

No experience of them, they may just be Keyster
What exactly is wrong with your carbs?
Jets don't wear out. Corrode maybe
Just buy the genuine bits you actually need
I've spent loads of time chasing a problem that I'm sure isn't carbs for it to turn out It's carbs
Fitting aftermarket parts just causes doubt when it doesn't run right

I've been getting petrol coming out of the top pipe which I believe is a breather vent

Iβd push that oil pipe on a bit further, or you might have a bigger issue. I have used the keyster kit before not the needles though, without issues, they were made in Japan though donβt know if that makes a difference Jess

if you get the right keyster kit for your carbs then they are ok-ish (see below), the problem is, alot of the kits covering a range/years of a bike, not accounting for the fact the carbs/jetting/configuration changed, so you need to know your carb spec before ordering a keyster kit or the likes
Yambits kits/parts are generally keyster kits, the needles and air screws are normally completely wrong, which causes allsorts of havoc
Petrol coming out of the bowl vent is the needle valve leaking, it might be the seat and needle, or it could be the carb body is worn and the O ring around the needle seat body is worn and petrol is getting past that way - I have some oversize O rings that take out some of that wear, I sent some to a forum member who was going to test them, I've used them on a few jobs and not had any issues yet

I've got 2 oversizes, standard is approx 1.1mm, first one is 1.2mm and the other 1.35mm, doesn't sound much but its does make a difference

I did notice when putting carbs back together that the brass body with the O ring were a lose fit

All four of those pipe terminations must be the same; with retainers.

The Tourmax kits seem quite good. I have used a few of those without issue. I have upgraded a few of my LC 4L0 carbs to use the later Tourmax YPVS needle and seat sets, as I like the idea of the rubber tip on the needles.
