Hi folks. For those that have built a 421 non valve motor. What do you do with the power valve controller? Can I simply disconnect it and call it good? I’m trying to get the wiring as simple as possible. Thanks Mick

Are you not using a Zeeltronic or iggy?
As a basic setup, you can unplug and remove the servo, the OEM CDI wont know or care.
But, you should be using a CDI that will work better with a 421 really.

Ahh ok, so cool. Then yes, just remove the servo and controller from the loom.
If you trace the wires, you'll see the servo has its own cables that run from the controller so disconnecting both ends is no problem for that. The Zeel will likely use the other wires (brown/black/blackwhite)

Thanks Jon Probably zeel at this stage. I’ve sent Iggy several emails but no response As mentioned on this forum and i got the same answer from my tuner who is pro Zeel, they seem to be a bit unreliable lately. Knowing this i would lean towards buying an Ignitech.

I even tried ignitech NZ but nothing from them either.

Are you In New zealand?
I only know Norbo and Muttsnuts in the UK and PS Tuning in Holland. If you get in touch with any of these people they will be able to reccomend you a unit to suit your needs.

Thanks No in Australia. Trying to avoid purchasing anything out of the US at the moment. Freight times are getting stupid

Postage from UK isn’t too bad now, had a set of pipes only take 10 days
Either Norbo and/or Muttsnuts will sort you out with either unit
