That is why I will never buy anything from them, not because everything is crap although there is a fair amount of tat, but because they don’t deserve to be in business, their customer service is as shoddy as their products.

Oh dear! I guess that's based on your personal experience. Based on my personal experience I've never had any issues with any of their products and I've bought loads over the years, including a new crank about 3 years ago. They always deliver quickly and their website is easy to use and ordering/payment process is simple. Maybe I'm just lucky? Although I've been using them for over 10 years.

I don’t think Tim’s view is purely formed from his own personal experience? Many on here have had trouble with their parts or survice, myself included. You must have been lucky in the parts you bought as there is a long list of parts to steer clear of such as throttle cables, side stands and crank seals to name a few. I to will never deal with them again either, mainly because of service surrounding dodgy parts. Jon

Yeh I steered clear of crank seals when I bought the crank off them due to the reports from other owners, so got genuine Yam ones. I need some fork seals. Can get them from Fowlers for around £34 per seal, or from Yambits at around £8 for a pair. I think I'll bite the bullet and order from Fowlers as I've heard bad reports about their fork seals too.

Wise decision. There is a reason they are cheap, and that’s more than likely down to the quality. I can’t understand something like a crank oil seal or fork oil seal being scrimped on as there is a huge amount of labour/cost to fit them. Fair enough with a cosmetic part that is easily changed once it breaks. Jon

You can tell by the grain of the aluminium in the picture that it is pour cast and not pressure cast as the genuine ones are, pour cast aluminium is approx 3 times weaker than pressure cast aluminium. You get what you pay for with aftermarket parts.

I wouldnt be happy with that, on the other hand I have that clutch lever perch/ lever assembly on my bike , its been on for maybe 3 years and several thousand miles...no problem with it or as far as one gasket, ive never had any issues with Yambits, even my throttle cable for the 500(which is NLA..)
The overwhelming majority of their customers must be happy and repeat ones or they wouldnt have grown to the size they are..
