I have been sorting a few bits out on my bike and wanted to try it out after adding the new clutch cable , new original seat etc but when re fitting the tank one of my fuel pipes split. Easy I thought just get some pipe locally. So I went to the local German Swedish Parts place and got some 5 mm pipe and instantly returned it as it was cloth wrapped. As I wanted to use the bike asap I then got Amazon Prime to deliver some pipe, but after ordering it I looked at the reviews and it was absolute crap so I managed to cancel my order. Still no ride. So more research and I found that Yamaha Outboard pipe is the same so I ordered some 8 mm fuel pipe and this appeared today...stop laughing !! What the f**k is this and how it it 8mm pipe !! 9D9E96F9-5EE4-40D1-8958-DB7A4B8AA006_1_105_c by James Green, on Flickr Jesus how can it be so hard be get some rubber pipe !! And still no ride. So I have done what I should have done in the first place and asked Norbo for some... Note to self - Never go anywhere else for parts... BTW Anyone want an outboard fuel line 'cause I am f**ked if I know what I am going to do with it !!

Hello, this fuel hose is used to connect the engine with an external fuel cannister. The rubber ball is used to prime after connection. You could use it to steal fuel from an other vehicle. At least I would keep it for "you never know". Brigitte
Edit: If you have something with a diesel in it, you can use it to fill the fuel filter after changing.

I got 5mm cloth wrapped on mine. I actually got it from a motor factors. 10 metres of it. It’s been fine for the last couple of years. Did you not like the idea of it?

Am I correct in thinking the LC fuel pipes are a different internal diameter to YPVS Reason I ask is I am fitting 31k carbs to my LC and the carb spigots look a little bigger. I am thinking issues if different from spigots on fuel tap. John

I think i would sooner have the pipes a little tight on the carbs than loose at the tap
I'll start with the 5mm and see how we go

If you have any bother with 5mm hoses try soaking the ends in boiling water for a minute or two. Softens them up enough so you can get them on, then once cool it tightens up again.

IF you want to play that game ? Buy Tygon fuel line, pretty well best there is . Personally I prefer fresh line regardless of provenance..at start of each season. A less than 5 min job..start to finish to replace . Not exactly a taxing chore.. is it?.
