Hello I just find a RD250lc in a barn and it has (0) kilometers. The owner says that from the time he get it from the dealer that time he never fired up the bike..he didn’t put gasoline either never. How much you guys think it may be worth ?

Hello Lazoulis,
Do you have a tin of custard? If so it will help with the valuation. 🧐

Ahh the old 'whats it worth' threads... deep joy! Not so difficult really. Probably worth between £250 and £14000. Give or take.

I know it gets some people’s goat about a first post ‘what’s it worth’ thread, but I can sort of understand why in some cases.
I’ve been on the receiving end myself. I had some really nice leather Vauxhall cavalier seats once. Joined a cavalier forum to offer them to enthusiasts. Wasn’t after a valuation. Got the same sort of response so sold them through eBay to a chap who collected them that was very happy with them.
In fairness to the OP he seems polite, which is more than some newbies.

Jon I don't think any malice was intended, just a bit of fun. It's a case of how long is a piece of string? Condition is everything.

It would be much easier to find out how much money it will need to be re commissioned, such a shame it wasn't stored better or had a coat of oil sprayed on it before it was put away and forgotten.

What a shame. Original unrestored in need of full restoration would be a truthful description for any advert and if put on an auction site it will find its own value. It is complete though and that is a big bonus. Good thing about it is that any prospective buyer knows what they are in for and should factor that in engine rebuild (hopefully time in storage hasn’t wrecked the crank or gear clusters and get away with hone, seals and bearings only) Carb rebuild, Fork tubes? Paintwork refresh,(hopefully tank is not rotten) tyres, All rubbers. Seat cover and probably foam too. Hopefully no mice have been eating stuff and it will be a nice bike In today’s market, it will sell no problem and with a simple wash and clean will find a new home. My guess £2.5-3k plus shipping and tax now 😕 John

I brought 2 bikes in from Germany recently, it isn't as straight forward as it was but it is still relatively easy, especially if you have done it before and are conversant with the required forms.

I think its a bit like wiring, folks see a mass of wires and think they cant do anything with it or it's to complicated. When in fact it's just a sit down, find the info, and get on with it. I hate anything involving paper work and reject it instantly, but happy enough up to my armpits in circuits.

I don't know how accurate this is, but one of the comments on the aircooled Facebook page where I found these pics, state the bike is for sale on a European selling site, asking 30k.

It may well be zero miles, but its a barn find now and needs a full resto. Price accordingly.

Welcome in. 2~2.5k if it were me parting with the money. As the guys have said, zero miles is only a small part of the deal, at 40 years old.
