I was speaking to someone who has a 4L1 frame and matching cases for sale. Frame needs a little bit of work I'm told. The description sounds like a UK frame although reg number is unknown. I assume its possible to track the original reg number from this.
Neither of us know what they are worth, any help to re price for these, I'm hoping to view in next day or 2 but would like some feedback on typical value.
Thanks guys.

If it was on e bay it would be £3k but in reality I'd say £800.00 is sensible money, if you can get it for less then its a result. If its a UK bike you should be able to get original reg number from Swansea.

Paul Dawkins used to be able to arrange a ‘vin check’ , find the reg from the vin, but think he got snowed under so gave it a break. However there is a guy who will do it for a £5 but charge nothing if a nil result . Email below.
As for value of frame and cases....going to depend a fair amount on the outcome of the v5 situation

Tread carefully , it may not be as simple as you think.

Its also possible that the vin has been marked by dvla as never to go back on the road
This cannot ever be removed
