What do the guru's think of this?
I've rebuilt the motor, its a new mikita basket, plates etc. bike runs ok but bit concerned that the basket seems to be off centre, obviously I would never know if I didn't have a clear window 🤣
Put the vid on fb, some people say it's fine, others don't 🤔🤔

There's nothing on the end of this type of clutch to keep it true. I would just go with it.
By the way I love the colour of those pipes. What are they?

Muttsnuts, mild steel pipes that I sprayed in VHT lacquer, turning quite a nice shade now ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210626/80f82a804adeb5940a266044a0f79880.jpg)

What a beauty. I love mild steel pipes when they go golden brown. In my eyes that the real deal.

Hello,
the pressure plate is held in position by the teeth of the clutch hub. It must be able to move and so it may be a little off center. The screws only push the springs against the assembly, so there is nothing you can do.
I second the advice to paint the window: The more you know, the more you get worried.

If it was way out you would get a lot of vibration. I first thought that it may be an optical illusion.

Just an outside the box thought... but does it look worse in the vid as against seeing it with your eyes? The shutter speed distorting things.

Not sure if you can see but don't think mine runs like yours .....has a lock up on top of the pressure plate, so maybe harder to see properly

Silly thought... the OEM style plates are meant to be offset as you fit them, using the small arrow marks. You didnt put all of them in the same way did you? Maybe that would have too much 'weight' in one area?

Can you see the outer basket, as that would indicate if the whole basket is affected, or just the inner part... ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png)

Kenny Being new doesnt mean the basket couldnt have been machined wrongly or the primary gear isnt centred.
