My wife showed me a post on facebook of a pissed off bloke warning there is a scammer on here who has took his money for parts and disappeared

Always a degree of trust when making on line purchases either privately or with eBay and the likes. Most members on here have built that trust and rapport with most before buying and selling. Using PayPal has some protection for the very thing you are saying here but I am not sure with the friends and family thing. Not asking to name anyone here but it is the same as always, buyer beware ( and no it wasn’t me 😇) John

I know of one historic case of a member agreeing to buy some parts on here, paying for them Then being ghosted
The seller never logged back on here
Not sure if it was a con or something tragic
