I did it on mine. 9/10ths way down this page: www.2smoked.com/Yamaha_RD350_LC_421cc_Athena_Frame.htmlI did in the end cut into the RGV top triple and inset the bobbins i made on a lathe as it fitted better. oh and dont cut a 4L0 top, its simpler to buy/cut/turn new ones. measurements of bobbins and location are same as your OEM 4L0 triple. Else buy a top already done by Andy on this forum? ign info also on there, easy to see measurements by holding up ign etc

u can simply fit brackets to the original rgv clock mounts on the top yoke for the clocks,i used simple stainless brackets from ebay, but used rubber dampers where the clock mounts, the ignition hole needs reamed out,but not much,i use a flap wheel in a drill, does a neat job ,u will need spacers for mounting, cant give exact dimensions, and im sure u need to open up the mount holes on the ignition a little, check first

Thanks Jon You say you embedded the mounts for the clock bracket,do you remember how far in ? Not off the top of my head, but it looks dead on half way in the pic further down where the dash is fitted and showing the work with the GPS speedo and integrated temp gauge. Ie. The bolt for the clock looks in line with the front edge of the top triple. My plan was to get the clocks to fit round the ign well and tuck in better over the light as so many other options left it out too far i felt.

OF rubber dampers , when my Buell was on the road I used tap washers on the rear indicator light bracket to help stop the vibes and held up surprisingly well
