I had an engineering place make some thicker, as the originals are a bit flimsy.

There are plenty of chancers trying their arm on eBay sadly. But whether they get the crazy prices they're asking is another matter...

Its folks rodgering themselves, a bit of voluntary self abuse....Roll up roll up, shaft yourselves!
Got to be worth mega bucks, they are bent pieces of metal and impossible to replicate.
This is what happens when you choose lessons in "home economics" over "metalwork"... (Metalwork was a lesson in secondary schools that taught you how to make things out of metal with various machines and processes...oft leading to some spectacular injuries and smouldering aprons and clowning around by the forge. The dodging of teacher thrown lump hammers was spectacular! but thankfully never lead to any deaths...just the teachers re-training.)
We just buy things from China now so we dont need lathes in schools, that's progress.

Looks like his buddy is bidding, or someone is gave a laugh.
That's ebay for you. Minefield.

Looks like his buddy is bidding, or someone is gave a laugh. That's ebay for you. Minefield. There is a fair bit of that about. Someone posts a bike with a ridiculously high starting price. An hour later it gets a bid (from a mate presumably) to "get the ball rolling". Sits like that for the rest of the auction.

£102...... Waiting for the faceache post :- "Managed to get the NLA mountings! Well chuffed! as they are OEM! Had to cough up £102 but that's their going rate now/today because I paid that much, and as its the going rate for today/now, I don't feel ripped off at all, far from it! Got to go now and help my mate Jack off a horse"

The other scam that was tried on me was that I was outbid several times then the auction ended. I got a message next day that the highest bidders had genuinely had to pull out and I was in the fortunate position to buy the item. Error no.

The seller isn't asking a price, people are biding it up you cant blame the seller for peoples stupidity.

You can get your mates to bid it up to entice the more gullible/desperate/more money than sense brigade to think ‘OMG this is the chance of a lifetime I must buy this’.
Buy in haste, repent at leisure as they say.

Correct Norbs But you can question the sellers morality, I could not get that kind of money for that tat without felling guilty of preying on someone's ignorance. Guess I'm just made that way. They just probably laugh all the way to the bank about it.

I'm not having that. It can't be genuine. Surely no one no matter how deranged would pay that? I've drawn a set and having them made from 316L stainless. Just waiting for the profiles to come back from the laser cutting. I have stuff profiled all the time and my bits sometimes find their way onto the nest These would probably cost about 10p in laser time and materials if that. My time is far more expensive though The originals are 3mm mild steel. I can't imagine any need for anything thicker. I'm just doing them because I can. Mine I have here have been chromed. I will at some point have some mild steel ones made and plate them but 90% of waht we make is out of 316L stainless. Steel is a rarity and then it would be zintec.

I all ready make them in ST/ST and have done for a very long time £15 a pair look great fit perfect . People should research the bike they have before buying parts for it from e bay. Seems to me at this price as all ready mentioned that its fake . I cant see a number of people all be that daft to bid it up bearing in mined that i clearly show them on my site. I agree if it was genuine i dont think as a seller i could in good consonance except that kind of money for something i have 100's of in a box. In fact so many at 1 time i just bind half of them as they were taking up room and who would want a scabby used one when you can have st/st.

It seems this world is increasingly full of people without a first clue about anything whose biggest threat in life to their wellbeing is themselves! Won’t be helped in future when ‘being famous’ is an aspirational ‘career’ objective of the current youth..... As Fraser so eloquently put it ‘we’re dooomed’ 🙈

I have seen it so often, reserve met then later on, bids are retracted and it sits just below the reserve in the hope someone will just nudge it that extra £100 and win! Not the case on this one but something folk need to be aware of.

At this rate breaking up the bike will be worth more than a complete one, I've just stripped mine lol might be worth selling the parts for crazy money and buy a complete one with change left over 😁.

I've just listed some NOS genuine Yamaha vintage air for your tyres. £250 per litre. I can do club discounts if anyone wants a bulk buy.
