There is a Honda part that replaces the plastic elbow from the MC to the reservoir You can use a smaller diameter hose with this , so does anyone have a link or part number please

Why do you need a smaller diameter hose?

Popular misconception that yamaha parts are made by yamaha and only used on yamaha bikes... Especially with brakes. Yamaha bought brakes to fit their bikes (or designed parts for those parts to bolt to) from brake manufacturers, they never did very much in house. Some people think Yamaha made every part including bolts and seals etc. And we know pistons are by ART, seals by ARS etc etc.
So, this is a Nissin part I guess from the link and as such could well have been fitted to many bikes.

I don't like just the tube with a plug on the end
If you want to push your pistons back then the fluid has no where to go , where it would if you have a reservoir fitted
