Ok now that you two have finished hyjacking my thread ;D ;D ;D. With his slowness want start using this site more but when I'm on my desk top it just so choppy even Norbo's LC CRAZY site is and the mouse is all jerky, right proper strange as it's only on here. But go on the missus lap top and all is well. Any ideas Glyn

Have you used Task Manager to see what processes are running? Sounds like you have something running in the background that is eating up CPU time. Ctrl-Alt-Del to bring up Task Manager and then click on the Performance tab. Then sort by CPU time by clicking on the CPU label (sorry if that is teaching grandma to suck eggs!).
If there is something other than 'System Idle' using up a high percentage of CPU time then that will be your likely culprit. If the name of the process doesn't mean anything to you then a quick Google will normally turn up some results. I used to have problems with a process that was linked to the Nero software I use. It would sit, supposedly in the background, trying to catalogue all the music and movies on the PC. Thing was it would take up so much CPU time that everything else would grind to a halt. I suspect something similar is happening to you?
