I saw that one at the bike show in 2019, and I was gob smacked at how ugly it was. It may be controversial, but I've always thought the BMW K1 was one of the ugliest bikes ever made.

I owned a multistrada 1100 ds and this Harley makes the Ducati look stunning. Just had to google that to make sure it was what I was thinking of. And yes it is. I couldn’t understand how the Italians famed for their designs could produce something that looks so bad. Sorry veg.

I don't disagree but I have seen some very fast Harleys and the XR1200 race series which Jeremy McWilliams ( a quite old man granted ) seemed to walk scarred the shit out of me and looked a right laugh, it was a very entertaining series and they were reasonably easy on the eye. Live and let live I say, they seem to attract t**ts but its not exclusive. The bike at the top of the page is hideous though, no argument, makes you wonder who signed it off, thats design though, I remember preferring aircooled RD's over LC's when they came out, probably because I couldn't afford one.

I really enjoyed my XR1200. Heavy, but handled surprisingly well. Only HD I would consider though. I'd still have it, but the Mrs wouldn't sit on the excuse for a pillion seat, can't say I blame her.

And just think... they once produced bikes with the emphasis on light weight, CofG, handling, usability, compact size, and one for smaller people. Then they closed it down. Why?? Well, the lovers of chromed baw baggers must have hated having to accommodate them in their dealerships, and maybe HD realised that the above values for motorcycles were the compleat opposite of what they stood for.

He bought it new in 1991/2 ish and immediately took a hacksaw to it and has been altering it since. This one has been worked inside and out and goes and handles very well. He rides all year round (not bad for an older dude close to 60) and has done almost 300k on it now including some competitive track days and sprints. On the back roads up here he has shown up a lot of GSXr/blade/r1 boys with a clean pair of heels. The thing also weighs as much as a wet duffel coat. Not everyones cuppa but you cannot say it is a hog rdlccrazy.proboards.com/thread/48597/harley-sportster

We met Hans back in 2017 in the Alps. He actually came up to us whilst we were pitching our tents and was very chatty and a good laugh.

I think the new "Brough Superior" is in a league of its own... a £60k league of its own. With the new Norton Arseless or is it Atlas? closely following up its behind.... (IF they get built) All money and no class springs to mind.
Like most things.. if something looks "right" it generally is, there are exceptions though, like the 31k.

Sometimes I see the new Broughs and Nortons and think they look ok? I did quite like the one Henry Cole and his mate tarted up. But other times, I feel they just look 'wrong', new bikes trying to be 'old' bikes, though it also depends on what I was looking at beforehand, to set my perspective. Not my cup of rosy lee, but each to their own.
