I know some of you belong to the LC Club as well but no one seems to talk about it on here! They use the Team App, which is nice and easy to use but not much activity and there is also a new Instagram profile. www.instagram.com/thelcclubIs it a case of: "The first rule of LC Club is you do not talk about LC Club” 🤔

I'm a member, didn't know there's an app until now. I was originally a member in 1990/91, I think my membership number was no.12, I went on 3 runs, Santa Pod early 1990, Box Hill to Bournemouth late 1990 and a ride round Boxhill in spring 1991, when my clutch centre nut came undone as I wheelied away from Boxhill.

I only found out about the lc club when a guy called Simon put an open invite on this forum in 2019 to attend a rally in the welsh hills to which I went. I then joined fb during the first lockdown to get pet food and now frequent the club and post occasionally. Not an official member though.

I am not on FB myself but I do get the Mrs to check every once in a while 😉

This club of Lc that you talk about does not exist, it does not exist.

I'm in the club, save on insurance when part of it, not really use the app, or the website before it, very quiet when compared to here, which is very busy, and has the shop attached for added bonus.
Not really sure what they can due to entice me to use it more to be honest.

The club was always the sensible side even if you go back to Alex’s forum (although I believe aardon is big in the club now a more devisive individual it would be hard to find) Been a member for financial reasons eg insurance savings etc but I always found them far too serious more interested in the correct shade of passivate whereas the forum tended to be more spannies and being a t**t.

I am in VJMC for the discounts, the Aircooled club as I like their yearly rally, and the Kettle club as I provide gaskets to them.
I seem to get on better with the Aircooled boys too, and they don't mind that I have a radiator...

The Aircooled club magazine is fantastic - put together by Del, it's a real labour of love. A new mag every quarter, it must be a massive job compiling it all together. The few times I've dropped into the Lc club it seems like no one really posts new stuff in there which is a shame. A lot of the Facebook Lc and Rd forums are very busy, with a lot of International members. Dusty

I did have a goosey at the LC club when I decided I needed a stroker in my life and was looking online for like minded people, but like Dusty and a few others posted, there wasn't much activity on there, whereas this forum seemed lively and active.

Have heard of the 'club'not a member don't like paying any sort of membership fee when you've got a great forum on here for free! Did attend one of there rallies like beardy on here which was in Wales, and they were a sound bunch would go on another that's for sure👍

You pay 15 quid a year to be a fully paid up member of the Aircooled club - think it's about the same for the Lc club ? I dont know about the Lc club - pretty sure it has a magazine, but the Aircooled club mag is a glossy, full sized colour magazine that runs to a lot of pages. I would imagine the printing and postage costs a few quid each year, so I think a lot of that is bourn by the membership fees. It's nice that in an age where most media is viewed electronically, you get a club magazine drop through the letterbox that you can read anywhere. As we know, there are hundreds/thousands of bike forums in the world, but I think we are very lucky that us Rd/Lc/Pv owners seem to benefit from the best of them, and by some way too Dusty

I’m still a member of the Lc club and get their magazine it’s always been a little magazine with very little content. I’m also a vmcc member magazine is a brilliant read. I’ve never been on a run or rally not really my scene.

Going by what I've seen myself whilst at a show, they don't seem to be that friendly to newbies who go up to the stall to be honest, they just shove a leaflet their way then carry on talking to each other/taking money off current members who are renewing their membership.

Back in 1990 when the LC club was started by Julie Moore after the Perfomance Bikes LC Frenzy at Pembrey nearly every LC that went on the runs was modified, the only standard bike I can remember was an old guy on an RZV500

I'm a member of the A/C club and you not only get the magazine you also get a calendar! Plus 10% off of Fowlers and insurance places, paint shops etc. I've made a lot of friends there as well as here but I have to confess it is a, err, slow site. Just been in and I think there were about 10 new posts compared with yesterday. Here there will be maybe 70 or 80 on average. Plus the A/C site seems to be a bit more gentile than on here, though there are a few nutters too!

The clubs themselves are very events focused. Im a member of AC and VJMC, was of the LC for a few years but if you are not ‘event active’ it’s fairly pointless. Not even sure what the UK two strokes club connection to Norbo is but either way the forums have a unique character of their own. A real community, virtual in origin but physical in time as friendships develop. This is the most vibrant by far of the ones i frequent. As for Facebook....dire, but a necessary evil it seems. As for Instagram .....I’d rather set my hair on fire and put it out with a hammer....

Its a photo sharing social network. Just to show well photos, you can make them so only people who follow you can see them, or so anyone can see them. You can hastag your photos so they are searchable. For instance I`ll post a photo of where I am with my build, and write #yamahard #yamahard350lc #1980s #restoration then anyone searching those terms will find every photo with these tags.So i get people from all over the world commenting and "liking" my photos. Its a bit of fun you boring old farts
