Just put a set of small can allspeeds onto my 31k, sounds fantastic and seems to have perked up the engine, but I am aware that “back in the day” Leon Moss (yeah, I am old!) developed a LEDAR kit specifically for the exhausts, have searched both this forum and other sites including the evil place that is eBay and cannot find a set. So after all these years, is there an equivalent approach that has been developed to make the most of the pipes?

I had a Ledar kit on my 400e back in the day. It was used in conjunction with pod filters and extension tubes that increased the inlet track from the filters. Don't think you will get lots of extra performance from Allspeeds to be honest, and I think keeping the airbox and making sure the bike is set up right is key. I did have some Ledar tubes for another 400 I built some years back, and it ran worst with them fitted ! Just my experience. Someone like Mutts will have more experience😉

Ledar nozzles are pretty redundant these days. As Dusty said they were developed to prevent the flat spot associated with metal backed pod filters such as K&N and S&B. If you are running filters, just use the foam Ramairs and they will work fine, or the original airbox.
Allspeeds should work fine with standard jetting on the airbox but you will need to alter the jetting significantly if you run filters.

Thank you for the advice, yes, still running the standard air box, just with the snorkel removed.

Very good, actually is stood for: Lincs Engine Development And Racing, I remember reading many articles by the late John Robinson which we’re written with the support of Leon.

Leon was a genius when it came to setting up bikes. Tragically killed when a car lost it's trailer and crashed into Leon's car I believe Dusty

You don't need the LEDAR spray tubes if you running the airbox, if you're using K&Ns they get rid of a flat spot, but you need to space the filters away from the carbs as well.
