A Canadian friend of mine has just made me aware of some Facebook based privacy changes to WhatsApp that are causing a storm in North America. news.sky.com/story/whatsapp-is-updating-its-privacy-rules-heres-what-you-need-to-know-12185162It seems that a new more secure non-profit app named Signal is fast becoming the next WhatsApp. I am not a Facebook fan or a member so I am trying out Signal in case the European privacy changes are just as controversial. So far so good! 😊

I wouldn't install WhatsApp after Facebook purchased them, and I'm glad I didn't now. Signal is very much part of the big tech family, so I have a feeling that it's a case out of the frying pan and in to the fire. Telegram is an independent company and it works well for messaging. The bottom line is you will most likely end up on the platform that most people use.

Everyone needs to ditch the 'big tech family' as much as poss especially after what they are doing to the world.
