Can I cable tie the servo motor in place or does it really need a more secure fastening ?

Cable tie wouldn't be my preference mate, i've got a bracket which uses the coil bolt holes, the sevo sits underneath out of the way, nice and tidy, you should be able to fabone up in a few hours out of mild steel or ally. Andy.

Got to agree with Andy no to cable tie. As said a bracket is the way to go, least you know its secure and safe.👍

Why would you bodge it?
have a search Martin we discussed it before and someone put up a pic that had dimensions Im sure.

Yes I can't bodge it can I LOL
It's because I had the Athena top end on I didn't need it at the time
Got to wire in the Zeel too and the servo unless I take the zeel off and fit the standard stuff
The bike has standard untuned barrels now

Had a look and my other bike had an NK racing bracket welded under the frame but it was never quite right with the cables having to go through some tight angles Are folks fitting them right under the coil in the space where the connector blocks go for the switchgear pics pics and pics :-)

There was someone on Alexs forum that sold them, I fitted one to my one in 06? Its exactly as above drops below the coil mounting bracket and above the head its slightly angled so it is more or less straight.

Cheers ears !
How does this look for position ? I haven't secured anything yet but the cables go over the "top" of the frame where the tank grommet is
But if it goes there , can you still squeeze the connector blocks in ?

I posted the drawings for a bracket with the dimensions. I'm not on my pc at the moment but a quick search will find it

Cheers
I have my servo motor at a different angle to Dusty's then
The cables tuck inside the frame
Did you get the connector blocks in OK ?

I didn't use that bracket - I've made mine then had them welded in before powdercoat. In your situation, the bolt in bracket is the best bet as it wont damage anything. You can always extend wiring should it not be long enough, but I would have thought it was ok. Dusty

I made a cardboard version of that bracket just to try and to me it doesn't sit high enough and less room to cram the connector blocks in as there ain't a lot of room there I'm going to try it the way in my pic and should only need 2 little "L" shaped brackets

There is never much room in an LC. Plenty done this conversion tho, really its not very hard.

Anyone got the Zeeltronic wiring diagram as I need to wire the servo wires in and can't find mine Will the zeel still do the cleaning cycle even though the open/closed hasn't een set ? Do I need the powervalve cables disconnected at this stage ?

I would always leave the cables disconnected when you first cycle a servo. youve no idea how it was last left by a DPO who may have just run power to it and let it run round the clock. And yes I have snapped cables by trusting someone else to have not done that. Live n learn.
Zeel wiring is on their site.

I thought the open/close was set along with the standard 31k map

Well I think I have fecked about with this for 2 days (ask the Missus LOL) and IMO it won't fit under the coil area as you can't get the wiring back in , then I couldn't get the coil cover on As I don't use the airbox, there is room there to fit it between/under the frame rails I have cable tied it in for now (tsk, tsk) but feel like this area is better So Steve does the Zeel PV curve have anything pre programmed in like he did by putting the 31K ignition curve in ?

I thought the Zeel came with maps in it including pv curves and open close degrees
I mounted the pv controller where you are talking and got mutts to make longer cables

If you have the original metal plate that goes across the mount rubbers it is quite solid with just one bolt The bit where the tubes meet is triple skinned so can be drilled and tapped so an m6 bolt mounts the servo That cables had adjusters in the middle so adjusted easily Steve

Using standard cables and it all fits and OK with tank on too
Just need to find something better to attach the servo motor to the frame
