Hi Lads, I still have my old Belstaff ‘Trialmaster’ wax cotton jacket from my LC days in the 80’s. As with these nostalgic things I’d like to have it cleaned, re-waxed and some minor repairs done. Question is : Can anyone recommend anywhere they may have used themselves?, I’ve googled re waxing companies and thankfully read reviews of the one in ilfracombe (Which doesn’t get a good write up!).
Any advice, as ever appreciated.

They aren't that hard to re-wax if you use the correct wax I've several new belstaffs' and barbour jackets and have done them myself. Barbour still offer a repair service as they are still UK based unfortunately Belstaff are now an Italian fashion brand and probably don't do the same. As an original it probably has quite a decent amount of value.

Hi Veg, I hope you’re keeping well in these strange times!. Yes you’re right, I’ve used Barbour’s ‘thorn proof’ wax on my international, but the Belstaff really could do with the lining cleaned as well. Everything I’ve read up about wax cotton says not to use anything other than cold water to clean them, let alone detergent?, so I thought as it’s quite a sentimental item, I’d best leave it to the professionals 😁. If it were just a case of reproofing, as you state, I’d tackle that myself 👍🏻. Cheers for the info mate 😁.
