Hello all
Wondering if anyone used replacement fork tubes from Legend £150 pair? Just wonder how they compare to Norbo's at £230 pair?
Massive choices out there ref fork seals but wonder if you have any recommendations on pattern units as gen yam expensive?
Thanks fellas

A lot of Legend stuff is cheap Chinese made rubbish, common thoughts are to get your standard ones re-chromed.
The owner of Legend has been on here and proved himself to be a ****

My thoughts are always wherever possible go genuine for seals and bearings they generally are more expensive but tend to be a known quality and quantity cheaper rarely hits the mark. I wouldn’t buy legend stuff as per Tony’s post parts that have a habit of not being fit for purpose and an owner that appears not to want to own it. Fork legs either rechrome or go Norbo. Norbo is an enthusiast who set this forum up his parts are used if they aren’t fit he won’t stock them so you’re buying from a fellow enthusiast with a known reputation.

I'd say £230 for a pair of genuine fork tubes is pretty good & certainly not worth getting pattern parts for a whole load of reasons such as safety, reliability and longevity..
Fit once and forget.

I doubt £230 would buy a pair of genuine fork legs would it? Norbos are 'non-Chinese' i think, but Im not sure they were claimed to be Gen Yam were they?
Ive used webike LC fork legs as they were the best value shipped to me when i needed a single leg. Japanese quality etc. Post to other parts of the world and import duties may change the price for you, for Aussie buyers webike is the smart option most likely.

Originals £212.89 each from Fowler’s, don’t think Norbo’s are originals but a good replacement. Re-chrome originals seems to be way to go, as long as they are originals,, hmmmmm ?🧐

Thanks fellas for taking the time to help out. I'm new on here so will def search out threads etc in future. Seems an overwhelming win for rechrome or Norbos. I spoke to him and his are italian made so probably TNK??
With the forks being conventional I think decent after market seals should be ok-i'm mulling it over..think ill go Norbos tubes and pattern seals etc
I'll post how i get on..
Thanks again

Get seals from Norbo do not buy any from yam bits 👍 If you’re replacing the seals and stanchions measure your springs to make sure they are in service tolerance and get new bushes . They are all unlikely to have been changed oh and if you’ve the drain bolts at the bottom of the legs all new washers.

I always buy OEM seals, but so long as your stanchions are not pitted and the seals are not dirty then you should get a seal even on something aftermarket.
