Hey guys many thanks for letting me join as an old bloke who might be looking to purchase a 125 LC and also remembers that you could buy one for around £800 (when I was actually young) 🙁 are service parts still available for these fine machines ? usual stuff ie brake components, oils, plugs etc etc of course I remember them being amazing and pretty forgiving but has my memory forgotten any pitfalls ? anyway, obviously very hard to find good ones these days, I see many imported models around any problems to be wary of ? many many thanks in advance gents !👍

Welcome aboard mate
There is a linked parts shop on the top banner that’s run by Norbo who also runs this forum,I’m sure you’ll find most parts you need there If you can’t see it just make another 9 posts and it will unlock
Once in the shop just press the pic of the 125 and all will be revealed 🙈

Hey Thanks Yogi I did see that there’s many parts available which is reassuring I guess what I’m asking is I’m considering buying a 125 but are they ok as a daily use bike or would I be buying an unreliable money pit by today’s standards ? And of course they are strong money Thanks for your input 👍

If the bikes been put together well, then there shouldn't be any specific reason why it couldn't be used daily. If that's your intention then get one that hasn't been messed with by the porting fairies.
Personally I wouldn't want to use a classic bike as a daily driver, mainly to prevent it from rotting away from salty roads.

Hi Welcome to the forum As Yogi said, Norbo runs this site and has an online shop linked to it - top of the page - RD LC CRAZY Parts Shop. Also, Fowlers in Bristol stock a huge amount of Yamaha spares. They also have a very useful website where you can search out parts for your specific bike, and you'll be able to see what's still available; www.fowlersparts.co.uk/Good luck Dusty
