I take it the TC in the seal description is Teflon Coated
Does sound good
For the first time ever I've used a pattern seal on my leftovers build.
Well it was left over 😁
Time will tell

If the gasket is good and the bearing an SKF etc it would be worth it just for that
For me the seal is the red herring ?
The genuine Yamaha seal ain't cheap though is it but you don't want to strip it all back to change the seal again ?

It's a pain to change this seal if it doesn't work or fails. I'm happy to use pattern in lots a places, but not this one, genuine seal for under £20, quality bearing £5, and free gasket from a kit £0 Is it worth it??

I bought a supposedly made in the UK kit for maintenance on my Landy. The box is proud to advertise it. When you open it up the single components are also in their own packaging one read made in Turkey the other read made in India etc etc.
I felt ripped off and returned it. Now I'm a bit sceptical if I read this in an ad.

These days many of the big bearing players like Koso, SKF, Nachi etc etc have factories in China and India. These should be ok you would think. They wouldnt want to ruin their good name...

Made in Britain, not Great Britain or even the UK. Could be some industrial unit in India or China called Britain.

Yes just like the stories of Japan calling a town Scotland so they could call their Whiskey "Scotch". Probably just a myth but stranger things happen.
