It is however a beautiful thing and we all know making one to this standard from a box of bits would probable cost more. Look at FS1E and AP50 etc.

I think the attraction of the small bikes is that they can almost be considered as working scale models...take up less space, but still provide the chalanges for the purists. So eminently collectible....
maybe you shouldn’t have sold all those standard parts..wheels...etc...sorry to remind you !

Were these Astronomical prices appear from beats me my bike stood me around £2000 done. But apart from zinc plating chrome plating, I did everything on it myself Inc paint rebuild motor the lot. Had one as first legal road bike in December 1981 as Xmas present as Da didn't want me to have a Vespa 🤣

I am doing an Rd50m at the moment because I had one at 16 its a pita to find parts for and its bankrupting me but its cool its so small when I was 16 it seemed like a superbike after my BMX. I doing a 1983 Mongoose BMX as well if you thing Rd bits are expensive look at old school bmx parts F**king hell they are mental.
