Now I know this has been discussed on here at least twice in the last few months and generally the consensus is that it can’t be done BUT here’s a frame on eBay that according to the seller has !! Wot ya all think www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254768791192

Not saying it’s not genuine it would put me off though I’ve never heard of the DVLA restamping frames unless the owner appealed the Q plate I guess

Agree
Don't think it's even a rule thing but the system won't allow it
Just like when a vin is marked as never to go back on the road it cannot be reversed EVER
Even if done in error

Looks like it’s been sold or seller has pulled it ! Although a re stamped frame is still pretty shit it’s gotta look better that a Q on your reg plate ( that’s if it is possible to get changed over )

In viewing a potential purpose, either a restamped frame, or a Q plate, or both, would simply mean the vast majority would walk away, there are plenty of other examples, without those issues, to make that choice easy.

I have seen a couple of stories of people successfully changing Q plates to age related plates and both times (on cars )they had to get proof from the vehicle manufacturer of the vehicle build details and age
did a quick google and seems to be a bit of anecdotal evidence on the web that it is doable and even saw someone who mentioned a simple dating certificate was enough

if it is age related and proof is found after it is registered with a Q, it can be changed in the first year otherwise it's on for good, at least that's what i thought.

He has his story straight now
The links weren't working for me before but are now
Its nothing more than an American frame as they use the 17 digit vin like modern bikes
No restamp on that
