Figured it might be interesting to see what people plan to do and then see how far they might get with their plans during this new lockdown... so let us know and then keep us updated along the way (or at the end) etc.
Obviously Im viewing this from afar, so I cant join in... lets hear your plans!

I'm going to be going to work as I have been for the whole of this year - apparently me going to work is vital to the UK economy, and then with all the money I'm making, I'm going to buy up all the LCs people are forced to sell cheap because they need the money.

Bought a car last week for eldest lad cheap as it needs a clutch. So this will be one thing Iam going to have to do 🧐 as well as concrete the extension floor if I can get the materials that is. Then maybe I might get done a few bike jobs aswell?

My boss said the same thing first time around too, looking back now it's a good thing that he did. Since heard of two other companies within our industry shall we say who did go into 'lock down' and now they have totally gone bust. This is only going to happen more and more during/after this second lock down I feel.

I was on furlough for 5 months, then back for a few weeks, then back on furlough then back for a few weeks then back on furlough...then back for half a day, and the apprentice I had working with me got contacted from a friend of his, who got caught by the track and trace, so I had to self isolate for a week. Went back on Monday, and I think thats me back to normal now ? As soon as we walk in the main gate now, we all get our temperature taken by the security guards, if your above 37.8 deg C you get sent home to self isolate and get a test. Already been people made redundant where I work, and more to be made redundant in the new year. I always keep my self busy, wheather on furlough or not, never enough hours in the day to acheive everything I want to. I used to do a fair bit of shooting years ago, but dont now, I even had to give up my air rifle, which is also now gone. I have become quite proficient with my catapult over lockdown, shooting at tin cans in the garden. Steven.

I was joking about buying up loads of LCs (I haven't got room for them), the YPVS I bought in September was from someone who had been furloughed and needed the money, but I don't think I got it cheap.
I work at the UKs largest container port, where most of the consumer products come into the UK, and we're significantly down on throughput, which indicates that the economy is up shit creek (or the UK has suddenly started manufacturing stuff), I hope everyone is okay financially, mentally and health wise, but I think the world is on a path to a very deep recession that will cause far more misery and suffering than Covid-19

I'm going to sit back and watch the economy nosedive. I will try and give hope to my son who is trying to get an engineering placement as part of his NVQ.. College are grasping at straws it seems, as they are tell pupils to apply to BandQ and screwfix and the likes...probably be telling us to try at Spar next..... So many better things to do like a CB900 Spencer rep, 250LC proddy conversion, RD400C rebuild, Commando reinstatement with gearbox oil leak to fix and superblends to fit together with new paint... painting apperatus to set up.... the list goes on and on.. you get the idea. Only need a simple thing called health to get the ball rolling. PS... Is anyone else exasperated by their childs lack of interest in something that has fascinated you for most of your life? Bikes. He's been surrounded with "it" all his life, sat on my CBR 1000 whilst knee high... buried the fairing fixings in the garden , I was the stay at home dad changing nappies and feeding and reading "old bear" several times every day whilst bouncing him on my knee, in between messing with several bikes. Pillioned him as soon as he could reach the footpegs. I am just wondering if the lack of interest IS down to being surrounded with it?? and it's not something that was to be hankered for as it was me, until I got my 1st one...a norman nippy aged 12.

Hope to make the best of every day, one thing this whole situation has brought into focus more than anything is the uncertainty of life. You can make all the plans you like only for them to be turned on their head in an instant. It’s not like that’s something I’ve just realised...but maybe, just maybe, this time I’ll act on it.

Just got a modern classic car delivered on Monday so that will be taking over from my bikes projects as I have lost interest in them for now.

We need pictures of the CB900 spencer rep And we need to know what modern day classic car. It's small things, but they might cheer us up a little And for the 1st time in my adult life I want snow for Xmas, it'll be a little bit of cheer in a miserable year.

I will continue to tinker with the 500 and hope that the 4 week lead time for my JL pipes turns into 5 mins...
Meanwhile there's a shower enclosure to replace with the one lying on the floor in the lounge.
My road bike has been swapped for a mountain bike this lock down now the roads are horrid.
Oh and work as usual, but I'm home based and have been since 1995 so it's the extra time through not travelling I get to benefit from.
Stay safe everyone!

I'm not exasperated as such although I was a keen enduro racer when my kids were younger and my son would come and watch holding a spare set of goggles/gloves for me each lap round.. I was so hoping to get him going on an enduro bike at 16 and do the British champs etc. He & my daughter have zero interest in motorcycles (prefers my 66 Bonnie to anything else)!

My children show very little interest in bikes, my daughter is 16 and my son 14, asked the daughter if she wanted a 50cc bike to use, she said no, but she might want to learn to ride a bike sometime, my son is the same.

A few of us here have the same interests Any lockdown has no effect on me, its all the same for me ..frustratingly. Confined to barracks is nothing new.... but it could be a whole lot worse... wondering if you have a job or not from day to day. That is bloody awful, not good for anyone's well being, they have my utmost sympathy.. It's hard to keep your chin up when you are getting kicked in the face.

same as usual, busy working, moving workshop, moving house, fixing bikes, looking for somewhere to live, oh and got to have it all sorted by the end of November, I don't work, I don't get paid...... like Veg my boss is a tw*t as well ! - I hate him !!!! on the plus side, the new workshop is coming along, hoping to have the dyno room finished next week, and the electrics, then I have the daunting task of moving the dyno, lathe, milling machine, welders, benchs, etc, etc from my current workshop anybody on furlough who is bored and near me, give me a shout, an extra pair of hands will be most welcome !
